Good Value When on SaleApr 14, 2008
By Babs Brooklyn
I purchased these when Amazon was running a 4 for 3 sale. Price came to about 12 bucks a glass.
The design is lovely. The glasses are heavy and can stand up to dishwashing. Only gripe I have is that there is a visible seam going down the side of the glass. For twelve bucks, I don't mind. But I would never use these for a fine dining event.

Villeroy & Boch "Miss Desiree Crystal"Feb 02, 2010
By Jutta B P
I have the whole Desiree Glass Set and love it... They are absolutely gorgeous!
Dinner guests love them too.
I would recommend these to anyone !!!
There is NO SEAM going down on any of these glasses !
I don't know how this first (+ only) customer comes up with that.
=>"Desiree" design matches any traditional Villeroy & Boch China pattern, but also matches the rim design of:

Items arrived brokenSep 19, 2011
While I am thrilled and instantly in love with the Villeroy and Bosch Miss Desiree Crystal wine glasses, unfortunately five out of the six glasses arrived to me damaged. Four are unusable and crushed and one is chipped. The New zealand customs department believes the damage occured during processing. In future, while tedious I know, it may pay to write in large letters, in the language of the country of the purchaser and countries the parcel may have to travel through, on every side of the box, that the items contained are cystal, extremely delicate and fragile. The box that contained the glasses had no such warning or information on it. The box itself is rather large and flimsy. While the items were well wrapped and a lot of padding was included, perhaps a stronger and smaller more compact box might help to protect the product further. I appreciate how difficult it is to transport such delicate items such a long way but you can imagine my frustration and disappointment in having my order accepted and then receiving the beautiful but unusable glasses. If delivering fragile products in tact to far away countries is too much of a challenge, you need to make this known before accepting orders. While I'm more than happy to pay the shipping and handling costs and would willingly pay more for the guarantee of the delivery of a perfect and usable product, the current shipping and handling cost already made up a third of the total of the order and the goods are unusable.
